First time on GCT + Norcross Buford Highway Redesign

First time on GCT (Gwinnett County Transit) earlier this year from Doraville MARTA Station to GCPL Norcross Library!

I really love the exterior design of the GCT buses. Nothing special to note on the inside & they’re sadly not electric.

I see the vision that @cityofnorcross had with this new design on Buford Highway but my main critique (as with most new projects) is: Please more trees!! And replace those lawns with tall grass for increased sense of pedestrian safety!

I can’t imagine any pedestrian looking forward to walking along or crossing here in it’s current state. Still way too exposed to the car horrors and baking hot in summer months. Although it is a significant improvement from before.

My destination was lovely though. The Gwinnett libraries are the main things I miss after moving into Atlanta. The Duluth and Norcross locations are truly lovely with all of their sustainability features!! Combined with open access hours at Duluth and the sound of the train horn in the background, it was work/study/reading heaven for me:)
