This is some solid vegan vanilla ice cream right here!!
Vegan vanilla ice cream is really hard to find for some reason. And this one is creamy and has a great flavor. I’m tempted to give this a 5 for that reason. But, as with most coconut-based things, it does have a light coconut flavor.
Don’t get me wrong tho – I’d totally recommend this! Def one of the best vanilla plant-based ice creams I’ve had. And!! the company is checking many ethics/sustainability boxes for me 😀
Ethics Notes: USDA Organic. Non-GMO Project Verified. 1% for the Planet. Bio-based packaging. They also mention regenerative farming & ethical sourcing of cocoa and vanilla on their website.

I’d want to ask them about what they specifically do to ensure fair wage & ethical labor in their cocoa and vanilla sourcing since they don’t have certification for it. But, a lot of vegan companies don’t mention any of this at all on their websites (despite their “green”/ethical marketing), so Cosmic Bliss having a page about it is above a lot of companies already!
Note, they are not a fully vegan company. They also make “grass-fed” ice cream….
Cosmic Bliss is a brand with HumanCo, which I don’t much about. HumanCo’s tagline is “Our Mission: To humanize consumer products” so ig that’s good.
Overall, I’ll probably be a repeat customer just because they seem quite ahead of other vegan ice cream companies in terms of ethics/sustainability.
Our Prep: chipped away at it until it became soft & creamy. Probably set it out like 10 min before you want to eat it for a comfortable scooping experience
