Annie's vegan mac cooked & next to packaging box

Annie’s “Vegan Mac – Macaroni & Cheddar Flavor”: 4.5/5 yermm Krafty!

food rating details here

yumminess4/5 tastes good but not outstanding

non-vegan similarity: 5/5 can’t tell difference / you can fool most ppl

price: $4 at Sprouts

yermm!!! this is just like Kraft imo except without the wierd Kraft chemical after-taste that made me never like Kraft before I was vegan. I think that most people couldn’t tell the difference & would assume this is not vegan. Pretty big portion for the price also – easily 2 servings.

I was quite concerned while I was cooking it bc when u first put in the chz powder packet, it has that really strong vegan chz barfy smell to it. But it cooked off & smelled pretty normal by the end and I didn’t taste it at all.

Flavor is just pretty bland, basic Kraft macaroni. Yerm.

we also reviewed the gf version of this XD. even though they’re sold as the same size, the wheat one grew a lot more while cooking than the gf one and was prob 150% in volume when we served them. also the GF one needed more cook time & had a bit of that vegan chz barfy smell/taste to it. the wheat one is def better imo.

Ethics Notes: USDA Organic. idk much about Annie’s as a company.

Our Prep: Comes with dry noodles & sauce powder packet in a box. I kindaaa followed instructions. Boiled for 0:08 in salty water, drained & left some water, added in chz powder & some soy milk, mix & then cook for another minute. yerm

Ingredients/Allergen Stuff: Contains wheat.
